Why Go For VoIP?
Why go for VoIP when I could choose a system that has been around for years?
We'll go into the advantages and features shortly, but here's probably the main reason; old style or 'legacy' systems are becoming obsolete, the new technology is taking over.
Think of it this way, if you want to record TV programs to watch later on, would you go out and buy a Video Cassette Recorder now? Probably not, as even if you could find one to buy, new technology in the form of DVD and hard drive recorders have replaced the good old VCR, and are much better.
Similarly, although you can still buy traditional phone systems for your office (or 'hybrids' that are a mix of old and new) why go for something that's already out of date and so may have a limited useful life?
OK, so your new system will be a VoIP system. But what advantages or extra capabilities does it offer?
